Paintings are created using layer upon layer of colour.
The colourful underlayers are refined and the story of the painting emerges.
Created intuitively, subject matter varies,
floral (wildflowers, tulips, poppies...)
landscape (sunset, water's edge...)
bird (quirky, stoic, proud...)
or a truly abstract celebration of form and colour.

While no longer creating paintings per se, a mixed media sketchbook practice still informs Jo's work.
